Glass display case: balance, glare and the build玻璃展柜的配重与防眩
A tall glass case that won't stand steady is worse than one that just looks plain. Our display case CH5 is built around glass with a gold-tone metal frame, holding a white bust necklace stand inside plus several ring trays. It's meant for the front window of a high-end store, right where foot traffic is heaviest — so counterweight and glare control aren't details, they're the whole job.
Start with the glass. The panels are low-iron, ultra-clear, but plenty of shops cheap out on standard float glass: thick enough, yet it reflects green and you can't see the necklace inside under daylight. CH5 uses a low-reflection treatment so side light doesn't blind you and the diamonds read through the pane. Thicker isn't automatically better either — over-thick glass adds weight the frame then has to carry, which works against stability. The case arrives flat-packed; the glass panels travel separately and are joined on site, so before assembly we match each panel to its number — fit one reversed and the seam won't close, the seal strip never seats.
The gold frame is the load-bearing skeleton. Wall thickness, the corner brackets at each joint, and how the frame meets the base decide whether the whole case wobbles. We've seen rented cases with paper-thin frames whose brackets shook loose in transit and arrived leaning. CH5 locks frame to base with bolts, and even during assembly they go in sequence — no rushing.
Counterweight is the floor. A tall case carries its mass up high, so the base needs ballast, or a cleaner bumps it and it goes over — damaging the counter is one thing, hurting someone is another. Ballast isn't a token fill: CH5 ships with weights sized to the cabinet height, the base cavity filled so the center of mass sits on the feet and a shove only rocks it. Stores that leave the base empty to save effort get the lesson when a cleaner's vacuum topples it.
The lighting inside matters too. CH5 runs a ceiling pendant plus a base light strip, both around 3000K, to pull the fire out of metal and stone. The fixtures must not aim at the glass, or you get one bright smear across the face that blocks the view. The light strip is recessed, so a failure means opening the case; we use waterproof terminals to cut contact issues, and we don't let the color temperature drift — swing from 3000K to 4000K and the same stone looks like a different product, and the customer thinks the goods changed. Shelf load also needs calculating — the tier full of gold bangles gets extra screw points.
The usual failures are dust and the door. A case opens many times a day; once the seal ages, grit gets in and the bust's velvet is the hardest thing to clean. We use magnetic doors with brush strips: easy to grab, slow to collect dust. The bust and ring trays inside aren't glued down — they sit in locator pins so staff can lift them for cleaning, but the pins have to seat in the right holes or the whole arrangement slides when the door shuts. We mark the positions so reset is foolproof. Each unit ships with its own protection and a five-layer carton; only after it's assembled and ballasted on site is it truly delivered.
In the end the tall case is the most expensive display piece in the store. Counterweight, glare, lamp position, seal — skip any one and the customer sees it.

先说玻璃。柜面一般用超白玻璃，但很多店图便宜上普通浮法玻璃，厚度够了可反光发绿，柜里那串项链在白天根本看不清。CH5走的是低反射处理，侧光打上去不刺眼，客人隔着玻璃也能把钻石看清。玻璃也不是越厚越好，太厚柜体变重、边框受力大，反而难固定。柜体是现场组装的，玻璃面板长途走的是拆分包装，到店再拼，拼之前要核对每块玻璃的编号，装反了缝隙对不上，密封条就压不实。
金色金属边框是承重的骨架。边框壁厚、拼接处的角码、和底座的连接方式，决定了整柜会不会晃。我们见过租来的展柜，边框薄得像纸片，运输一颠角码松脱，到店歪着站。CH5的边框和底座用螺栓锁死，拆装时也得按序拧，不能图快。
配重是底线。高的柜子重心偏上，底座里要加配重块，不然清洁阿姨一碰就倒，砸了柜台是小事，伤人是大事。配重不是随便塞，我们给CH5配套配重块是按柜体高度算好的，底座仓填满后整柜重心压在底脚，推一下只晃不倒。有些店为了省事底座空着，结果保洁推着吸尘器一碰就倒，教训不少。
柜里的灯也有讲究。CH5顶上吊灯加底灯带，色温统一在三千左右，把金属和宝石的火彩带出来。灯位不能正对玻璃，否则一条光斑糊在面上，反而挡视线。灯带是嵌进去的，坏了要拆柜，所以接头我们用防水端子减少接触不良，色温也别乱调，今天三千明天四千，同一柜珠宝颜色都变，客人以为货不对板。层板承重也得算，放满黄金手镯那一层，螺丝孔位要加密。
翻车常见在防尘和开合。展柜一天开合好几次，密封条老化进灰，项链架绒面落灰最难擦。我们用磁吸门加毛刷条，日常拿取顺手，灰尘进得慢。里面的白色人模和戒指托不是粘死的，落在定位销上，便于拿起来清理，但销子要对准孔位，不然关门一震整排就滑。出厂每件配独立防护和五层外箱，长途运到店组装完，拧好配重才算交付。
说到底，高柜是店里最贵的陈列件，配重、防眩、灯位、密封，哪一样省了都会在客人眼前露怯。
